Scott was born and raised on Long Island in New York. He went to college in Buffalo, New York, then moved to Denver Colorado in 1996. Ivonne was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She moved to Colorado in 1995. Scott and Ivonne met while working together at the same company in 2001. In the beginning, they were just friends. Scott was married and Ivonne had just gone through a divorce. Soon, Scott was going through his own divorce. Ivonne helped Scott get through his divorce by lending him support and advice. Scott joined the singles scene and started going out with Ivonne and her friends to nightclubs. After a few months, Scott and Ivonne started dating. Their relationship grew, and Scott proposed to Ivonne on November 16th of 2002. Timmy (the dog) joined the family that Novermber. Scott and Ivonne were married at the Denver Botanic Gardens on July 26th of 2003. Scott, Ivonne and Asa were joined as a family. Shortly after they were married, they found out that a new addition to the family was on the way. Bryan Anthony Steigerwald was born on June 17th, 2004.
